Visionary artist, Wanda K. Whitaker, uses art as a way to educate and enlighten the unwakened about creationism, spirituality, sacred geometry and social studies. Through art, one can access the subconscious mind in a nonobtrusive manner with color and symbolism while feeding the conscious mind with sacred teachings and images. She will often discuss these various topics while presenting the works of art and is commissioned..

Sample of Art Work

Title: Karma

By being still and going within we feel our connection with Spirit. When we close our eyes, we begin to see the images inside of ourselves instead of outside ourselves, listen to the voice inside of us and feel from our hearts.  By meditating in nature, we feel our greater connection with the universe. I make use of various triangles. There are 5 in the painting. Can you find them?

Title: The Divine in Sarah

The painting shows through symbolism the connection of sound, nature and divinity.
Sarah Vaughn was a great jazz musician that was known for her wide range in vocals and was named “The Divine One” (meaning goddess) because her voice encompassed the human and angelic. Her career was started in 1942 when a friend dared her to enter a contest at the Apollo Theater and she won singing “Body and Soul.”  The Greek God, Apollo was the god of harmony, music, poetry, archery, light, truth and healing.

The ancient Egyptians believed that a human being had 2 different parts, a body and spirit. The ancient Egyptians regarded earth as heaven’s mirror. The painting shows the Giza pyramids and their reflection of the constellation of Orion in the Milky Way. The materials used to build the pyramids were limestone and granite. Granite is largely made of quartz. A quartz crystal changes its electric charge distribution when it vibrates. Granite is used as a converter of vibration (sound) to and from electromagnetism for the Great Golden Pyramid transceiver. The Great Pyramids were considered to be a great musical instrument and acted as a machine that produced sound vibrations containing information to be transmitted.

The dove symbolizes love and devotion, holiness, peace, honesty, spirituality, joy and grace. Doves are incredibly loyal to each other and work together to build their nest and raise their young. Three doves represent the trinity – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They land in Sarah Vaughan’s hair amongst flowers as man is not separate from nature.

936 is the octave of the Gregorian chant. The Gregorian chants originated among Egyptian monks. The chants and special tones were believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony during religious masses. Cosmic harmonies played with earthly strings makes music therapeutic. Music is a secret exercise in mathematics.

A sacred relationship is when two beings come together to create a sanctuary, provide equal energy,  spark aliveness and empower each other to be of service to the world. This painting represents partners who are grounded, balanced and connected at the heart space recognizing the divinity within each other. The ships going in opposite directions represent the freedom to go in opposite directions to fulfill each one’s life purpose. The anchor in the water represents their oneness with nature. The spiraling gold column represents the kundalini rising towards the crown chakra. The primary colors represents light and its electromagnetic properties vibrating at different frequencies.

Title: Free to be Me

Women are fighting for their freedom throughout the world. They turn to Spirit for their strength and guidance. Infinite energy flows to them through the central nervous system and into the brain where it is processed. Women must be free to create the change needed for the coming age. There are five different women featured in this painting..

Title: The Soul of Cuba

With The Soul of Cuba, I took a muralist approach with emphasis on symbolism to tell the story from my own travel experiences. Most Afro-Cubans came from West Africa through the slave trade. Unlike the English who were less tolerant about mixing races in America, the Spaniards mixed with Afro-Cubans. Thus, you see an Afro-Cuban with blue eyes. Afro-Cubans kept their Yoruba religion and rituals disguising their saints as Catholic saints. You will see a priestess in the drum smoking a cigar. Additionally, you see the angelic dome atop the Great Theatre of Havana. There are spirals in the water representing the cyclic motion of wave reminding us of our our infinite nature. The Cuban icon, Che Guevara, is also depicted in the back of the car. The art piece shows a strong connection to spirituality, Cuban history and Afro-Cuban culture.
